The American Express Air Miles Platinum Credit Card is an annual fee credit card. With this card, cardholders earn 1 Mile for every $5 charged to the card at eligible Canadian food & drink and gas & transit. Purchases made everywhere else earn cardholders 1 Mile for every $10 spent.

The American Express Air Miles Platinum Credit Card has an annual fee of $120, but no fee for additional cards. The card features an interest rate of 20.99% on purchases and 21.99% on cash advances. Late or missed payments will trigger an increase in interest. Depending on your payment history, your interest could rise to 23.99% or 26.99%.
Purchases made on the card in a foreign currency are subject to a 2.5% fee.

Earn Air Miles, even as you spend Air Miles - American Express® AIR MILES®* Platinum cardholders are able to take advantage of Amex’s Annual Travel Redemption Benefit. When you book a vacation with Air Miles, you get the opportunity to earn back Bonus Miles equivalent to 25% of the net number of Miles used (up to a maximum of 750 Bonus Miles). This benefit is only available once a year.
Referral program – When a cardholder refers friends or family to the American Express Air Miles Platinum Credit Card, they are eligible for a referral bonus of 500 Air Miles reward miles. Cardholders are able to earn up to 7,500 reward miles in referral bonuses per the calendar year.
Bonus Miles awarded as part of this benefit will be posted to the Collector Account linked to the American Express® AIR MILES®* Platinum Credit Card account in accordance with the AIR MILES balance preference set at the time the Bonus Miles are awarded. Bonus Miles will be posted to the Collector Account within 60-120 daysof eligible redemption. Subject to change at any time.
